About Technology

14/12/2020

Throughout history, man has created and put to use various technological advances, which helped him to progress his society and his way of life. Examples include the development of simple tools such as the wheel and the wheeled object; the development of complex things like the wheelbarrow and the wheel; the development of more complex things such as the wheelchair chair. All these technological advances have had different effects on human life. One example is the development of the wheel. Before this discovery, humans used to roll stones on the ground, but after this discovery, they were able to move objects by using only their hands.

Throughout human history, the applications of various types of technological innovations and discoveries are clearly seen. Examples include the development of the wheel, the wheelbarrow, the wheel, the pistol, the wheel-axle, and many other simple tools. These technological innovations and developments not only changed the way people lived their lives, but also changed the course of human history, as well as the nature of society itself.

Every day, technology is being improved upon. As new industries arise, more complex and powerful tools are created, which were previously invented centuries ago by other cultures. There are many examples in history where such technological development has led to the rise of states, sometimes known as nations. Nations, of course, require technology in order to function, because without such infrastructure, people cannot access certain resources, meaning that they cannot achieve goals. This aspect of the human condition is commonly referred to as civilization.

The dawn of civilization can be dated back to about B.C.E. Ebers, the Ice Age, and the Paleolithic Era. In addition to the tools mentioned above, other technological advancements include the use of copper, tin, aluminum, and gold throughout human history. Not all of these items were developed at the same time, but in both the Mesolithic and the Neolithic eras, technological advancements were made.

In the latter era, the Neolithic Age, advancements such as fire, wood, and complex bone tools were made. Improvements in pottery and other art forms, such as flint and bone flaking, made from soft materials, started around the same time. The Neolithic Age also witnessed the appearance of complex human figurines, the existence of complex language, and advancements in agriculture. The development of agriculture meant that people could now produce foods that were more abundant and therefore available for longer periods of time. One example of a great leap in human technology would be the use of stone tools, which would arrive in the later Paleolithic era, alongside other amazing technological advances.

As the Neolithic Age wore on, more sophisticated technologically advanced artifacts, like metal implements for hunting and fishing and wheeled vehicles, began to be used. In addition, changes in the human condition began to occur. People began to live longer, with a larger amount of farmland being produced to meet the demand for food. Additionally, farming allowed people to have greater control over resources, which allowed them to become more efficient and competitive in the labor market.

Today, it is in this modern era that the greatest leaps in technological advancements have taken place. Although many of these advancements have taken place in caving and mining, the use of technology has reached into every sphere of human life, including medicine and even the realm of entertainment. Technoculture has truly come of age.
